Bluegrass Powerhouse Sideline Joins the Mountain Home Label
What started as an offseason side project has moved to the front and center as Sideline, known for their perfected driving style of Bluegrass, preps to record their 4th album and first with highly awarded Bluegrass label, Mountain Home.
Well known to fans of the genre, Sideline members include multi-award winning banjo player Steve Dilling, bass player Jason Moore, guitarist Skip Cherryholmes, and features the talents of Nathan Aldridge on fiddle, Brad Hudson on dobro, and Troy Boone, mandolin.
Dilling states, "Sideline is so proud and honored to sign with Mountain Home. They have long set the standard as to how a record label should work with and work for their artists. I'm also proud for a North Carolina band to be on a North Carolina label. Mountain Home owner, Mickey Gamble said to me when we signed, 'Welcome home,' and I must say, it sure feels like home."
Set to go into the Crossroads studios near Asheville, NC in October, the band joins award- winning producer Tim Surrett to begin an album that is sure to set the pace in the current Bluegrass scene.
Marketing Director for Mountain Home, Ty Gilpin adds, "We are thrilled to welcome Sideline to the label roster. They are some of the best musicians and guys you can know. Just ask any Bluegrass fan! We can't wait to get them in the studio this fall."
A release date is not yet set but the band is aiming for Spring/early Summer 2018.
