Zack has been around bluegrass and gospel music his entire life. Zack's dad, Phil, is a preach and Zack grew up singing in church with his family. He was singing before he was two years old and learned to sing harmony at a very young age. He found his love for bluegrass music after watching his first live bluegrass concert and he decided he wanted to learn to play. At age 12 he started taking guitar lessons from local musician, Steve Lewis. When Zack helped start the band “ClayBank” the guitar position was already filled so he picked up the mandolin and has been in love with it ever since. In addition to playing music, Zack is an avid hunter and fisherman and loves being outdoors.
